I was in the same position as you at one point. I wanted a planner system that was perfect, so I read a ton of bullet journaling and planning articles trying to figure out what was the best system for me. Here is a quick outline of everything I have tried.
- A traditional planner
- A bullet journal in a composition notebook (more flexibility)
- A planner in a binder so I could add and remove pages (less flexibility than the bullet journal, but more flexibility than a traditional planner)
- A bullet journal in a binder (Too much flexibility for me because I realized I didn't want to be able to add and remove pages)
- A bullet journal in a traditional bullet journal notebook (My current planning system)
